Understanding Pylon Signs
Pylon signs are signboards that are standalone pillar like signs located at the main entrance building gate or road. Pylon heights could range from 4ft to 30ft tall and width size of around 3ft to 7ft.
Pylons range from different sizes depending on the purpose of the signboard. Some indicates where the entrance of the parking lot is, some indicates where the lobby or pick up location. Most pylons are tall, and its purpose of it being tall is to let people see from far away. Example, Petrol station’s pylon is usually tall enough for drivers to see almost half a Kilometers away at the highway.
A Concrete cement footing is usually required for the tall ones, while for the short pylons, a good foundation and dept should be sufficient to hold the sign safely.
